Exercise even if you can't go to the gym

Here we go again! Everyone expected it, but you have to admit that it still brought tears to my eyes. The apartment that once again turned into an office and school, closed restaurants and a lot of restrictions we accepted without any major problems.
The closure of gyms was a blow to the heart. If you are among those who have a hard time motivating themselves to exercise at home, and going to the gym was a great motivation, this text is for you! Read about why training during lockdown is so important.

Girls, let's get one thing straight first. A slim figure, flat stomach and sexy buttocks are very important, but not the most important thing. Fortunately, we don't need a private gym in our apartment or professional equipment to train and take care of ourselves. A high-quality sports top (absolutely mandatory) and comfortable leggings will suffice. But how do you convince yourself to roll out a mat and spend an hour exercising instead of watching another episode of a Netflix series?

First and foremost - remember that physical activity is not only about a beautiful figure, but above all health and immunity!

We probably don't need to convince anyone that this is particularly important at the moment. Training increases the efficiency of the circulatory and respiratory systems. Thanks to regular exercise, our body is able to cope better with infections and simply function better. Here too, the principle of "something is better than nothing" applies, so if you don't feel like a full workout, stretch, practice yoga or do less intensive exercises.

If you were planning to "let it go" before winter (because who's going to watch us? ;)) We officially urge you - don't do it! Let's go at full speed.

Secondly - let's do it for ourselves!

Spending most of the day at home, it is easy to fall into a routine and autumn blues, and to put a healthy lifestyle “off until later”. Rest is important, but it is thanks to exercise that we feel better. During home training, endorphins are produced, i.e. hormones of happiness, which directly improve mood. In addition, endorphins reduce stress levels and block pain. It is worth remembering that it is playing sports that can release them the most. In the present times, it is especially worth stimulating the brain to release this hormone so that you are always in a good mood.

Everything we surround ourselves with, what we eat, how we spend our time, affects how we feel. And now, when we are forced to change our lifestyle, it is worth trying to feel better every day, in every aspect.

PS Chocolate and spicy foods also give us endorphins. Balance first!

Thirdly - let's make use of this time!

Say what you want, but in our opinion, the lockdown is worth using 150%. According to research conducted by SW Research on behalf of the WSB University in Gdańsk, during the first social quarantine, 20% of respondents reduced their body weight thanks to a healthy lifestyle. In turn, as many as 36% of respondents stated that they prepared meals themselves much more often, avoided processed food and changed their diet to a healthier one.
We already know that the first wave of the pandemic has made us all reflect on health, a balanced diet and physical activity. That's why now is not the time for excuses! On the other hand, it's worth remembering that this is not a competition about who will train the hardest. After all, we are sitting at home, we have more free time, which is worth using so that in the spring we don't look for a magic way to get fit in 7 days. When if not now? A second chance like this (hopefully) won't happen.
If you can't get motivated to exercise on your own, take advantage of the services of personal trainers. Most of them have moved their services to the online world, and their workouts are adapted to home conditions. It is also worth paying attention to free workouts, which are making the internet buzz. A lot of challenges, training programs and ready-made exercises at your fingertips. In both situations, it is worth setting your training schedule. Training on set days, at a fixed time, will help you have the whole process under control.
