Common sense

We don't have to convince anyone about the importance of exercise and balanced nutrition. On the other hand, we also know that regeneration, rest and common sense are the key to a dream figure. So how can we lead a healthy lifestyle responsibly and in such a way that it turns into a pleasure, not a bitter obligation?
Let's start from the beginning. Remember the day when you first convinced your "inner self" to exercise? It may have been the lightest workout you found online, but you did it! You were probably very excited and certain that you would soon become a 100% "sports freak" and every day, even before your morning coffee, you would bravely throw yourself into the whirlwind of training and healthy eating. And if all of this is still ahead of you, take a deep breath and read about how to approach the subject wisely and in a healthy way (for both mind and body) change your figure for good.

As with everything, quality, not quantity, counts in sports. Approach your training with common sense and without rushing. Nothing will happen right away, and training too intensively or too often will only discourage you, perhaps overtrain, or give up your sporting lifestyle for a long time. Most of us, when we feel that exciting surge of motivation, are able to spend the whole day in the gym, just to see the desired results as quickly as possible, but this is not the way! Take it easy, give yourself time, and the fruit of your work will appear faster than you think. Enter this world consciously and with common sense!

In order for the exercises to bring the expected results, the training trio is necessary: diet, effort and regeneration . The golden mean, thanks to which you will approach the effort with your head and full awareness of your body. If you are just starting out, you can plan your week so that you train every other day and rest the following days. This is when your muscles get stronger, your body slims down and your fitness (despite spending the day watching Netflix) improves. Over time, as you get stronger, consciously increase the training days, but remember to devote at least one per week to regeneration. And if you meet people who consider rest days as an excuse and laziness... Just stay away from them ;).

Okay, but what if you're not entirely convinced by lazing around? You can spend your rest day productively! If you feel like doing nothing, go ahead, that day belongs to you! But if you're still not entirely convinced by the vision, we have a few ideas for you:

- on your way to work, choose to walk or bike
- go to the pool and relax
- roll on the roller - it has a soothing effect on tense muscles
- go for a long walk with your dog
- focus on gentle body stretching

One thing is certain - a beautiful, shaped figure is not possible without a balanced diet . They say that the universal recipe for success is 70% diet and 30% exercise. There is a lot of truth in this, but it is also worth approaching the issue of nutrition with an open mind. Have you ever heard of the 80/20 rule? This is a method of nutrition that even professional athletes use. It involves introducing 80% of healthy, unprocessed, low-calorie meals to your diet - for the body, and 20% of all the rest - for the mind. We are talking about "little sins" that we can only allow ourselves during a cheat meal or cheat day during a book diet. This model of nutrition is exceptionally friendly for beginners and those who are still struggling with their strong will. It does not impose too many restrictions on us, and gives us many opportunities. In this way, we take care not only of our figure, but also of our well-being, win-win!

However, this is not an option for everyone, so decide for yourself, or in consultation with a dietitian, which diet is most suitable for you.

It is worth remembering that eating pizza, ice cream, a bar of chocolate or a burger while on a diet is not the end of the world. If you allow yourself small pleasures and instead of one workout, you choose to go out for a drink with friends - nothing will happen! You will not gain weight, you will not ruin your work, you will not ruin your dreams. Have fun, and the next day return to your habits and continue. Find a balance, try and remember - we are only human. Treat small stumbles and failures as lessons. Remember that a healthy lifestyle is highly addictive! This is good and bad news. Sometimes it goes in the wrong direction and even ends in eating disorders (e.g. orthorexia), so it is worth finding the golden mean.

Taking care of your figure is not a race, so remember to do everything in harmony with yourself. Trust yourself, listen to your body and act with common sense!
